The Latest on COVID-19

  • March 24, 2020

As Members will have heard by now, the Government has introduced further measures to
address the threat of Covid-19, including the indefinite closure of all Registered Clubs from
midday today, 23 March 2020.

Accordingly, the RYCT has closed all bar and dining facilities until further notice.

We are still able to sell alcohol and coffees on a take-away basis only.

We are also in the early stages of considering how we can provide take-away meals to
support our community. More information will be provided as soon as possible.

At this stage, the Stage 1 restrictions do not include the marina, slip yard, carpark or
administration areas of the Club so these aspects of the Club’s operations will continue to
operate.

Our staff are on-site to assist with any queries or concerns.

The Board will be meeting tomorrow night to review financial modelling for the next six
months, with our primary concern being for the welfare of our employees and the financial
sustainability of the Club.

This is a game-changer for us all but I am confident we have a strong team to navigate
these unchartered waters. Please continue to support your Club.

I will provide a further update to Members following our Board meeting.

Stay safe.
