Hat-trick to Wildfire in Winter Series

Wildfire has won all three RYCT winter races.

The red-hulled Wildfire on Sunday scored her third consecutive win in the RYCR Winter Series to take a commanding points lead in Division 2.

Skippered by Malcolm Robinson, Wildfire, finished second across the line to Gary Cripps’ Ciao Bay II Ian Snape) and reversed the order on corrected time.

Wildfire heads the leaderboard on 3 points after three races, Frontline (Ian Snape) has 8 points, with Footloose, a non-starter in race three, third in standings  on 13 points.

Nigel Johnston’s Ingenue had an outright win in Division 3, winning race three of the winter series from Derek Adams’ Bronzewing and Off-Piste (Paul Einoder).

Bronzewing, the oldest yacht racing on the Derwent, and Engenue are now equal on 7 points with Serenity (Graham Hall) one point back.
