Hobart yachtswoman Colleen Darcey and her crew of mainly SB20 sailors today continued their winning form in the Australian Women’s Keelboat Regatta on Melbourne’s Port Phillip.

Royal Melbourne Yacht Squadron ran three races on Saturday and completed race four today after a two-hour delay.

Darcey showed great light weather skill in helming the Archambault 35, Absolut, to two wins and a second in the IRC division on day one and today winning both the IRC and AMS divisions of race four.

Her crew of 11 has been drawn largely from Hobart’s very active SB20 sports boat fleet, including fellow helmswomen RYCT Rear Commodore Claire Cunningham and versatile Jo Breen.

After four races Absolut heads the IRC pointscore with 5 points, two points clear of local RMYS boat Jungle Juice, an Adams 10 skippered by Monica Jones.

Division 1 start the AWKR.
The Tasmanian team leads the IRC points and is a close second under AMS scoring

Absolut has chased the fast Melges 32, Envus, around the course in each race, for three successive second places on AMS corrected time. Envys won each race on Saturday, today placed third in race four.

After four races, Absolut (7 points) is just point behind Envus (6 points) in the AMS division.

Tasmanian Judi Marshall at the helm of the S80 Recycled Reputation has had mixed bag, failing to finish in race. However, she and her crew representing Townsville Yacht Club, made amends winning race three in IRC Division 2
