Welcome to the VDL-C 2011 website: Planning for this, our 10th Van Diemens Land Circumnavigation Cruise, is well under way and the number of vessels provisionally accepted to participate has already exceeded the fleet size limit of 45 boats. Even though the cruise is not scheduled to leave Hobart until 16th February 2011, there are 55 boats of which 10 are waiting in a queue (as at 1st September 2010). However our experience with earlier cruises is that about 30% of the initial provisional acceptances will withdraw for all kinds of reasons. Thus if you are interested in joining us in Hobart in mid-February 2011, it is still worth downloading and sending us a completed Expression of Interest form (and the $100 deposit) ... but do it sooner rather than later! You get your deposit back if you do not make the cut. Notice of Cruise contains most if not all the information you require to decide whether you want to come. Cruise Plan gives an overview of where we will go and when we will be there. There is also a map of the proposed route. Other documents of interest, particularly to boats already accepted, include: The Queue showing the state of the entry list of boats already provisionally accepted. News and Notices is where there are items of interest to provisionally accepted participants; this page will become increasingly important as time passes. Crew Positions Wanted is a list of people who have contacted the RYCT wanting a berth on a boat. If you would like a jpg image of the colour poster we use to publicise the cruise, it can be downloaded. Be aware the file size is approximately 2.8 Mb.
